Synopsis
A naval base has been completed in Gangjeong Village, Jeju Island. Two different concepts of peace coexist in this village, creating ongoing tension. In this shared space, conflicting perspectives continue to collide, sustaining an uneasy peace.
Planning Intent
In 2015, after completing my college entrance exam, I participated in the Gureombi Peace Protest in Gangjeong Village. This experience raised many questions for me, which later became the foundation for this project.
Production Process
I stayed in Gangjeong Village for ten days, documenting interviews with protest participants to explore their perspectives on peace.
