A Day in Cheongnyangni

Synopsis
On a busy election day in Cheongnyangni, Seoul, citizens go about their daily lives, each immersed in their own routines.

Planning Intent
This project observes a single day in the lives of an unspecified crowd near Cheongnyangni Station.

Production Process
The goal was to capture people’s movements with a camera. While there was no structured script, individuals entered and exited the frame with a natural rhythm, each forming their own unique narrative. Through this project, I realized that documentary filmmaking without a script requires an unbiased perspective—observing people objectively, free from preconceived judgments, and capturing them through the lens with sincerity.
