The Place to Go Now

Synopsis
At my grandmother’s house, piles of ceranium bracelets and heated products made from ceranium kept accumulating. Where did all this ceranium come from?

Planning Intent
There was a time when my grandmother urged me to come with her, saying they would give us 1kg of garaetteok (Korean rice cake) for free if we listened to a presentation. I refused, telling her, “Nothing in life is free.” However, curiosity eventually led me to follow the path my grandmother had taken to receive these items.

Production Process
In a setting filled with aggressive sales tactics, I wanted to ensure my grandmother wouldn’t be taken advantage of. To document the reality of these situations, I secretly recorded footage by concealing a camera in my bag at the first location featured in this film.
